POST OFFICES OF HURLEY: 1937 TO THE PRESENT

Setting the scene is the interior of a vintage post office.

Visitors learn about the seven locations of Hurley’s

post o ces and the upheaval of the Ashton, West

Hurley, Glenford, and Spillway post o ces caused by

the reservoir construction.

EAGLE'S NEST: EXPLORING THE MYTHS AND REALITY

This exhibit takes a fresh look at the history, lore, and

legends surrounding Eagle's Nest, the racially mixed

community on the wooded hillside above the Village

of Hurley. It draws on the Eagle's Nest-Lapala Project,

with an emphasis on doing community research using

primary sources, including oral histories.
