About Us
For 50 years, the all-volunteer Hurley Heritage Society has preserved, protected, educated and celebrated the uniqueness of the Town of Hurley. In that time we acquired the Colonel Jonathan Elmendorf House, located at 52 Main Street, and made it into a museum dedicated to Hurley, always free and open to the public. We commemorate all of our town’s heritage, including the contributions of indigenous peoples, early Dutch and British settlers, and the many other peoples who have made our community special.
