Woman accused of harboring dozens of Yorkies in Hurley now a wanted fugitive

Ulster County Judge Bryan Rounds issued an arrest warrant Monday for Nicole Baggatta after the former Ulster County woman failed to appear in court to answer dozens of animal cruelty charges.

Baggatta, a former resident of Dewitt Mills Road in the town of Hurley, was indicted on 40 misdemeanor counts of torture/injure/not feeding an animal, and three felony counts of interference with certain animals, all under the state Ag and Markets law.
