West Hurley Public Library Budget Vote and Board Election Sept 7th
Voting will be on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 4-8pm in the library. Absentee ballot applications are available.
The absentee ballot must be received by September 6th by 4pm.
The proposed budget includes an increase of $9,250. The largest budget line increases are for a cost-of-living increase for staff salaries, building insurance, and for utilities. Funding the proposed budget requires a budget increase of 3.82%. An owner of a $200,000 home would expect a tax increase of about $2.69 or 3.5%. There are two positions available on the board. The candidates running for election to the board are Suzanne Downie and Ross Lonstein. These are three-year terms.
