West Hurley Public Library Budget Vote and Board Election Sept 7th

Voting will be on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 4-8pm in the library. Absentee ballot applications are available.
The absentee ballot must be received by September 6th by 4pm.

The proposed budget includes an increase of $9,250. The largest budget line increases are for a cost-of-living increase for staff salaries, building insurance, and for utilities. Funding the proposed budget requires a budget increase of 3.82%.  An owner of a $200,000 home would expect a tax increase of about $2.69 or 3.5%.  Copies of the budget are available in the library or online at Proposed Budget.

There are two positions available on the board. The candidates running for election to the board are Suzanne Downie and Ross Lonstein.  These are three-year terms.
