Hurley 2023 Memorial Day Parade set for Monday, May 29

The Town of Hurley's 2023 Memorial Day Parade will be on Monday, May 29.

The staging area – the THikit print shop at 185 Zandhoek Road (formerly St. John’s Mission) – will open at 9 a.m. Participants should arrive by 9:15 a.m. (enter from Zandhoek Road and park in the grassy area on the right), and the parade will step off at 10 a.m.

The parade will proceed north on Zandhoek Road, turn right at the end of the Hurley Cemetery property, cross Hurley Avenue, travel the length of Main Street, cross Hurley Mountain Road, turn left on Wamsley Place and end in front of the Town Hall, where a ceremony will take place and food will be available.

The parade route is about 1.5 miles.

An application form for people and groups wanting to march in the parade is attached to this announcement. It can be printed out and mailed to Memorial Day Parade 2023, Supervisor’s Office, Hurley Town Hall, P.O. Box 569, Hurley, NY 12443; or printed out, scanned and emailed to supervisorsec@townofhurley.org. The deadline is Monday, May 1.
