Hurley holds hearing on moratorium for projects

Town Board members on Tuesday will take comments on a proposed nine-month moratorium that would prevent site plans, special use permit applications and subdivision reviews for projects involving more than five acres on most of the town.

The session is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. in Town Hall at 10 Wamsley Place.

The moratorium would prohibit “any construction activity including clearing, grading, excavating, soil disturbance or placement of fill that results in land disturbance” that would be 0.5 acres or more.
