HURLEY RIDGE MARKET OFFERS FREE WATER TESTING AND EVALUATION FOR WEST HURLEY WATER CUSTOMERS

In response to the ongoing reports of water quality issues faced by West Hurley residents, Southern Realty & Development, owner of the Hurley Ridge Market (Hannafords plaza in West Hurley), announces a program to provide West Hurley customers of the Hudson Valley Water Company (System # 3 Pine Street) free water tests and evaluation.  In addition to concerns about water line breaks and response rates, West Hurley residents and Town officials have repeatedly sought remediation on issues of water quality, including concerns over excessive copper and high acidic rates.

According to Southern Realty owner John Joseph, “clean drinkable water is fundamental, and I feel badly for our neighbors in West Hurley who have been going through this.” Joseph says “we test our water at the Hurley Ridge Market weekly, and as such we have a procedure in place where we can help the community with water tests and evaluations.” Testing and water evaluations for the Hurley Ridge Market are done by Barry Koral, former City of Kingston laboratory technician and life-long Hurley resident.

West Hurley residents who have their water supplied by System #3 are invited to contact Mr. Koral for  free testing and evaluation.  He may be reached at (845) 338-0963 or email kwccc@yahoo.com
