Farm Mechanic Basics Program to be Offered in Spanish this October and in English this Winter

The Hudson Valley Farm Hub will pilot its Spanish language Farm Mechanic Basics program this autumn after a successful winter program was offered in English earlier this year.

Farm Mechanic Basics offers hands-on experience with agricultural mechanics in a state-of-the-art machine shop through eight day-long sessions intended for farmers and other agricultural workers. Through an in-depth look at tractors and implements, participants will understand the parts and systems of tractors, and gain experience diagnosing problems, conducting routine maintenance, and performing the most basic repairs on farm equipment. Attendees do not need prior experience with tractors and farm equipment.
