MULTI-MEDIA PRESENTATION OF KINGSTON LEGENDARY SEA LION ’SHARKY’ ON SEPTEMBER 26TH

The Hurley Heritage Society and Ulster County Historical Society are co-hosting a multi-media presentation "SHARKY AND HIS PALS! When Sea Lions Were Stars of Show Biz” on September 26th at 7pm.  The event will take place at the Cross Point Fellowship Center at 459 Hurley Avenue, Hurley, NY with plenty of parking.

Open and free to the public to attend, the presentation of “Sharkey and his Pals" tells the entertaining story of “The World’s Greatest Seal,” a sea lion, trained at the Kingston, NY based ‘Seal College’. It was said that Sharkey had a sense of humor so uncanny and spontaneous, many considered him practically human!
Local historians and presenters, Stephen Blauweiss and Gary Bohan Jr, will be talking about their forthcoming documentary film, "Sharkey and His Pals".  This presentation will feature newly acquired footage as well as recent interviews recorded for the film. Additional presentation background and sneak preview may be found at:  https://www.sharkeyandhispals.com/
